Thursday 30 July 11:30 - 13:00 CET

Together we will read and discuss the book ‘Revolutionary Time’ by Fanny Söderbäck (SUNY Press, 2020) in which she examines the relationship between time and sexual difference in the work of French feminists Julia Kristeva and Luce Irigaray.

The first meeting of this reading circle will take place during the NSU Summer Session and everyone is welcome to join, even if you haven’t yet decided whether you’ll join the group. To start off this group, the author of the book will join us to give a short introduction and can answer all our questions.

Please sign up by emailing Nicole (, and to receive the first part of the book by PDF. You’re welcome to order the book (use discount code ZDT20, for 30% off) from the SUNY Press website. When you join the reading group, the costs for the book will be reimbursed.

Meetings will take place on Thursday, from 11:30-13:30.

Part 1: July 30th

Part 2: August 13th

Part 3: August 27th

Part 4: September 10th

Part 5: September 24th

We might schedule other follow-up meetings to work on and to support each other in writing reviews based on our discussions for publication.
